Yo Everyone! You might be asking “Yo what?” Well, Youmacon of course! What a blast!

This was my second Youmacon, but first time ever cosplaying. I was Pikachu and InuYasha throughout the weekend at various times (changed costumes a lot, especially on Saturday).

As Pikachu, I was loved and hated… I had many photos taken of me and was even killed at one point (that was quite the scene).

As InuYasha I was also well received. I got many hugs, posed and fought with Kouga, was asked to bear Miroku’s children (I was not expecting that one when he came up to me, took a knee while taking my hand… oh boy! ). I was "sat" multiple times (those beads… I'm telling you! ) and even got one ear tweak. I was able to speak with Kikyo and no Kagome in sight – hehe!

What an amazing weekend, dare I say one of the most memorable of my life. My group of friends did a Pokemon theme and we went on stage during the Masquerade, posing for pictures. What a rush! We met many awesome and talented people around the con. I hope that we cross each other’s paths again in the future.

How intriguing it was to literally step into another being’s 'skin', so to speak; if only for a little while. It was such a new experience for me to have people running up to me. (I have never been one to draw attention to myself. It’s easier being behind the scenes.) Bringing a smile to their face as they hugged or posed; it left me with much happiness. The Otaku world that comes to life at Youmacon is a very special place - a safe haven where everyone seems to have a place to fit.

The actual sadness of everything being over didn’t really hit until today. However, I'm still in a very excited mood and looking forward to next year. I just might post some photos up here eventually. I’ll have to see how busy life gets as I begin school again this week.
